阻水布，广泛用于车辆、船、厂矿企业货物的遮盖、野外旅游等，具有抗晒、抗冻、抗老化、防腐蚀、轻便、易折叠耐用等特点。其实阻水布在很早以前就出现了。今天小编就带您去看一下拒水布的进展历史：

早期的阻水材料多用阻水纸，是在纸上涂一层薄的桐油或茬子油。桐油和茬子油来自于油桐和茬胡麻的种子，属干性油脂。也有的用柿子的柿漆或蜡涂在纸上，经过处理后不但结实而且阻水性很好。到了近代，拒水纸逐渐退出历史舞台，棉麻材料的阻水布开始大量使用。完管棉麻材料也很笨重，但在可用性方面要比拒水纸强得多。也曾出现过用轻的绢料制作阻水布，但由于价格很高，很少有人使用。如今的拒水布基本上采纳的都是棉缎子材料，在抗晒、抗冻、抗老化、防腐蚀方面具有更好的性能。
